Why cystatin C?

Cystatin C is a kidney filtration marker that is not affected by muscle mass, so it catches early changes that creatinine-based eGFR can miss in very muscular or very lean people.

How is this different from FitScript Essential?

Organ Health adds cystatin C. FitScript Essential adds A1c, fasting insulin, ApoB, Lp(a), homocysteine, thyroid, vitamin D and ferritin.

Do I need to fast?

Yes. Fast for 10–12 hours before your draw. Water is fine.
